Girls Studio is a theatre club that encourages positive self-expression and self-advocacy for girls between the ages of 11 to 14. This expressive arts program utilizes the empowering drama methodology Theater of the Oppressed, which allows participants to be co-creators in their worlds. The self-exploratory session will culminate in a public theatre performance that the girls facilitate, and the audience become the actors. In order to be in the performance, girls may only miss three dates and must be present in the final week of sessions. There is no previous performance experience necessary!
